本次暑期学校由eco2adapt项目支持,是国家重点研发计划“典型森林生态系统韧性调控机制与适应性管理”的任务之一,也是与欧盟地平线计划“Ecosystem-based adaptation and changemaking to shape, protect and maintain the resilience of tomorrow's forests”的重要合作内容。

Notice on Enrollment for the "Forest Ecological Resilience and Adaptive Management Summer School”
Course Dates:13- 22 July 2026
Venue:Donghu Campus, Zhejiang A&F University
Course Theme:Forest Ecosystem Resilience & Adaptive Forest Management
Class Size: 30 participants
Target Audience: Students from relevant disciplines; Master's and PhD students will be given priority
Organizer: eco2adaptProjectTeam, Zhejiang A&F University
Course Introduction:
This summer school is supported by the eco2adapt project and is one of the tasks of the National Key R&D Program of China "Regulation mechanisms of ecosystem resilience and adaptive forest management". It is also an important cooperation content with the EU Horizon Program "Ecosystem-based Adaptation and Change-making to Shape, Protect and Maintain the Resilience of Tomorrow's Forests".
The eco2adapt project aims to promote research results to the public, with a particular focus onpopularizing frontier knowledge on forest resilience, ecosystem services, and forest adaptation among university students. This summer schoolis designedto build a comprehensive cognitive framework for college students on forest responses to climate change and to introduce theories, technologies, and assessment methods of forest resilience. It will focus on showcasing the latest research findings and practical achievements of the European and Chinese research teams in the eco2adapt project.
The course will focus on key technologies and methods for assessing forest ecosystem resilience and adapting to climate change. The curriculum covers several core modules:Effects of climate change and disturbance on forest ecosystem, Forest resilience monitoring and assessment, Control mechanism of forest ecosystem resilience, Technical models for enhancing forest ecosystem resilience and quality, Forest ecosystem service indicators, Social and economic drivers of forest adaptation to climate change, and Soil ecological characteristics of resilient forest.
As a cross-disciplinary project, this summer school will comprehensively address the ecological, social-cultural, and economic dimensions of climate change. It will include extensive practical teaching sessions, andprovideopportunities for exchanges and discussions with domestic and international experts, helping students systematically master core methods of field investigation and laboratory analysis.
